Job Shadow Week 2008

YouthWorks expanded its annual Job Shadow Day to one full week this year and a record number of professionals throughout Allegheny County participated. During the week of February 4th, more than 60 area business and civic leaders welcomed more than 110 young people from the Greater Pittsburgh area for a behind-the-scene look at exciting careers that could be in their future.

This week-long Job Shadow Event is coordinated by YouthWorks, Inc. and the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board. The goal of Job Shadow Week is to provide youth with exposure to leading companies, professional organizations, governmental systems and small businesses.

The enthusiasm of the students, the generosity of the hosts and the diversity of career possibilities in the area make for encouraging ingredients for the future of the Western Pennsylvania workforce.  Please scroll down to see Host Information.
